Rimfire Range Day

This program is designed for both Junior & Adult shooters who wish to shoot on a range that will be limited to rimfire firearms only.

Time: 4pm – 6pm

Shooting Times are 120 minute slots, including the cease-fire periods.

Description

Features of the Program include:

  • A range where only rimfire (ie:.22 Rifle/Pistol) firearms are allowed, to reduce the noise, discomfort, and distractions found on the Rifle and Pistol Range by larger caliber firearms.
  • The reservation time is broken into 15 minute shooting periods. At the end of 15 minutes a cease fire is called and customers will be allowed to go down range to change, check, post or retrieve their targets.
  • Combo pricing for 1 Adult & 1 Junior to shoot together. (Juniors are 5-17 years old). All juniors must be accompanied by and under direct supervision of the parent or adult guardian.
  • Both the adult and junior may shoot. Unlimited additional paid juniors are allowed with the combo pair but will shoot under adult supervision, one at a time.
  • Adults related to the paid family combo who want to shoot with their family members at the same table are allowed to do so at the additional adult fee.
  • Adults not related to any family combo will be assigned their own table.
  • There will be a limited steel option for those who want to shoot steel only. The steel tables will be first come, first serve. The distance will be 25 yards.
  • We will offer a scoped rifle sight in service during the range day for anyone wanting a sight in by BASF trained range masters.
  • BASF will provide target frames only.
  • Shooters must provide their own paper targets which are available in the Store & Operations Center located by the Rifle and Pistol Range. Distances for paper targets 25-100 yards.
  • Shooters must provide their own firearms, ammo and safety supplies.
  • Hearing and Eye protection is mandatory and can be purchased in the Store & Operations Center located by the Rifle and Pistol Range.
  • All firearms must be in a soft or hard sided case when transporting them to and from the shooting tables, as well as to and from your vehicle.
  • Refund policy-refunds for reservations will only be given up to 24 hours in advance of your reservation.
  • First time shooters at the Ben Avery Shooting Facility must check in at the Store and Operations Center to watch a brief safety video and fill out a safety waiver.
  • Check in time 15 minutes before reservation time.
  • A maximum of 4 uncased firearms allowed on the table at any one time.
  • When entering the range place all belongings on the back bench and prepare your target frame to go downrange. Do not place anything on the shooting table yet. Do not uncase any firearms.
  • When exiting the range pack up all firearms at the table, turning the cases to keep the muzzle pointed downrange.  Brooms and dustpans will be provided so please clean up your own brass.

LEAD INGESTION AWARENESS

Listed below are common sense tips to help avoid lead particulate ingestion:

Wash your hands and face before and after eating and smoking
ONLY drink out of resealable containers while on the shooting line
Eat only in areas outside of the shooting range
Smoke only in areas outside of the shooting range
Avoid touching your face, eyes, and mouth while shooting
*Eating, open beverage containers and smoking are prohibited on the shooting lines at all ranges*
